The Gift of the Land
The Gift of the Land
Our God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, gave Abraham and his descendants the promised land – the land of Israel. According to Israel’s Central Bureau of Statistics estimates on December 31, 2020, Israel’s population is estimated at 9,291,000 residents. 6,870,000 are Jews, 1,956,000 Arabs, and 456,000 others. The total size of the State of Israel is about 8,630 square miles. The country is bordered by Lebanon to the north, Syria to the northeast, Jordan to the east, Egypt to the southwest and the Mediterranean Sea to the west. Israel is a place of history between God and humanity, a panoramic view of the land, a pasture of natural parks, and a gem of archaeology. It is also a witness to many wars and battles. Yet, when the glories come again, it will be a land of hope – the hope that God promised to Abraham and his descendants.
