Messianic Prophecies

The prophecies in the Tanakh regarding the Jewish Messiah explain how we can identify Him (Isaiah 53, Daniel 9, Jeremiah 31, Zechariah 12, and more).

The chance that any man fulfilled just eight prophecies is 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000, (10 to the 17th power).  And Yeshua fulfilled over THIRTY prophecies in the Tanakh.

Isaiah 53 prophesied that Yeshua would become a sacrifice for our sin and the sins of the world.  Three days later, He changed the world by conquering death through His resurrection.  He will return to Jerusalem and fight for Israel (Zechariah 12-14).  On that day, Jewish people will recognize Him as the promised Jewish Messiah.  He is called “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6).  He died in Jerusalem, rose from the dead in Jerusalem, and is coming back to Jerusalem!!!

Isaiah 53 – This chapter will change your life

“The Gospel According to Isaiah 53” is presented by Dr. Mitch Glaser who is the President of Chosen People Ministries.   He explains well why the text of Isaiah 53 cannot refer to the nation of Israel.  Dr. Glaser wrote a book called “Isaiah 53 Explained” which will help you to rethink your relationship with the Creator.  To obtain a free book, please go to

Daniel 9 – When will the Messiah come?

The prophet Daniel received a prophecy that foresaw the exact time of the coming of the Messiah.  Do you know someone that in CE32 was humiliated even to death, and was believed to be the Messiah?  According to the prophecy in Daniel 9, the coming and the violent death of the Messiah King is calculated to the year CE32 – before the destruction of the temple.  The Messiah King had to be rejected, to suffer and to die because of our sins.

Jeremiah 31 – New Covenant Prophecy

According to the prophecy of Jeremiah, the people of Israel failed to keep the Sinaitic covenant.  We failed and sinned against God, but God is a merciful God, God gives us a new covenant.  He will make a new covenant different than the Sinaitic covenant so that everyone has access to God. Therefore, what is the purpose of the new covenant? Forgiveness of sin.

Zechariah 12:10 - The Pierced Messiah

Do you know the idea of our Messiah nailed to a tree comes from our own Hebrew Scriptures? Our prophet Zechariah lived and prophesied in about 600 BCE predicted that our Messiah would be rejected by His people and be pierced and killed.  Whereas the prophecy in Isaiah 53 teaches us that the Messiah will die, Zechariah’s prophecy teaches us how the Messiah will die: By piercing.

What are they?

What are Messianic Prophecies and how can we be sure that Jesus is indeed the Messiah?
